In paddy crops, when the rice panicle is in the milking stage, the rice bug (Leptocorisa acuta) and its nymphs feed on the sap, causing the affected panicles to shrink and turn brown, preventing proper grain formation. To control this, 10 kg of ash powder can be sprinkled during the morning dew, or alternatively, a mixture of 500 grams of garlic, 500 ml of neem oil, and 300 grams of soap dissolved in water should be sprayed in the evening.
