Deworming Techniques for Goat

In goat farming, goats that appear thin and dull are likely to be affected by intestinal worms. Therefore, deworming should be done before breeding. If pregnant goats are dewormed within the first two months of pregnancy, there is a risk of miscarriage. Hence, pregnant goats should be dewormed 2–3 weeks before kidding. For kids, deworming should be done at 30 days of age and again at 60 days after birth.
